MockRoute ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our service at mockroute.app. Please read this policy carefully. If you disagree with its terms, please discontinue use of the service.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information in the following ways:

• Account data — Name, email address, and hashed password when you register.
• Usage data — HTTP request logs made to your mock endpoints (method, path, headers, body, response status, timing).
• Payment data — Processed by Paystack or Flutterwave; we only store subscription status and plan identifiers.
• Technical data — IP address, browser type, operating system, and referring URLs collected automatically via server logs.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, operate, and improve the MockRoute service
• To manage your account and subscription
• To send transactional emails (account verification, password reset)
• To detect and prevent abuse or fraud
• To comply with legal obligations

4. Data Retention

Request logs are retained for up to 7 days for free users and 30 days for Pro subscribers, after which they are automatically purged. Account data is retained for the lifetime of your account and deleted within 30 days of account deletion.

5. Cookies

We use session cookies required for authentication and a localStorage key for dark-mode preference. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal data to third parties. We may share data with:

• Payment processors (Paystack, Flutterwave) solely to process transactions
• Infrastructure providers under strict data processing agreements
• Law enforcement if required by applicable law

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, rectify, or delete your personal data; to restrict or object to processing; and to data portability. To exercise these rights, email privacy@mockroute.app.
